My philosophy of leadership is when a person uses their leadership skills to guide and influence other members of their team or organization towards a common goal.
As a future leader, I understand that this position involves me making tough decisions, stating a clear vision, creating smart goals, and assisting my colleagues with the necessary tools and skills needed to achieve our goals.
Although I work in education, I often take advice from business leaders to understand what qualities make not only a good leader, but an effective one. An effective leader will build meaningful relationships with their team members, understand what their members strengths and weaknesses are, and will also make sure that they involved and informed throughout any decision-making process. This helps build morale and loyal members for any organization. Other good qualities include listening to team members and being open to the latest ideas and questioning, maintaining the highest standards for themselves and their members, and making tough decisions when needed.
